Cheese fondue sandwich

Cheese fondue is the trend. Not as a heavy main course, but rather as a starter or even for lunch. This ‘sandwich’ cheese fondue is a good example.

Ingredients

Mauricette bread
300gcheese cream
100gWhole milk
crispy bacon bits
Cornichons
Flat-leaf parsley

Preparation

  1. Bake the bread at 200ÀöC for about 8 to 10 minutes.
  2. Cut the bread in half and divide into servings as desired.
  3. Heat the cheese cream with the whole milk.
  4. Spoon this warm over the bread.
  5. Garnish with crispy bacon bits, slices of cornichons, and finely chopped flat-leaf parsley.
