Crispy chicken bun

Pretzel bun with crispy chicken tenders, sauerkraut, mustard and cheese. This pretzel bun is made according to an old, traditional German recipe. Just as a pretzel should taste.

Ingredients

pretzel bun
Sauerkraut
Brown soft sugar
Cumin
breaded chicken tenders
Savora mustard
slices of young matured cheese
Butter

Preparation

  1. Cut the bun in half.
  2. Rinse the sauerkraut in plenty of water.
  3. Melt some butter with a little brown sugar and cumin to taste.
  4. When the sugar has dissolved, add the squeezed sauerkraut and stew well.
  5. Spread the two halves of bread with Savora mustard.
  6. Top one slice with the sautéed sauerkraut.
  7. Fry the chicken tenders until crispy (use two per toastie) and place them on the sauerkraut.
  8. Add a slice of cheese, place the second slice of bread on top, and toast in an oven at 180˚C or in a sandwich press until crispy.
