Sneeuwijs

By flavoring water, freezing it, and then shaving it, you create a kind of snow ice. Very tasty, for example, on a dessert of fresh fruit.

Ingredients

Lemon juice
KitchenAid with ice shaving attachment

Preparation

  1. Season 1 liter of water with lemon juice (to your own taste, keep in mind that the cold will dull the flavor a bit, so a little extra lemon is best).
  2. Freeze in small containers. Stir in some fresh lemon zest as the mixture begins to freeze, so it stays distributed throughout.
  3. Continue freezing.
  4. Grate in a machine to fine snow and generously scoop over a dessert.
