Weihenstephaner Vitus is a wheat bock beer from Germany and has a golden yellow color, the drink is slightly cloudy and has a pearl-white foam layer that stays nicely for a long time. Present scent of apricots and bananas, but in the taste, you will also find sweet dough, citrus, and alcohol. This Vitus contains 7.7% alcohol, which is slightly more than a regular wheat beer and this is also noticeable. The mouthfeel is creamy, silky smooth, and fresh, and the aftertaste is bittersweet and somewhat peppery. The name Vitus is based on St. Vitus, a saint from the 14th century, who is among other things the patron saint of brewers. In the past, it was customary for monks during fasting to drink a somewhat heavier beer with higher nutritional value as a substitute for regular meals. Vitus is based on that philosophy.
