This beef comes exclusively from Dutch female cattle that graze in the pasture or in nature reserves for most of the year. The calves stay with their mother until they are 12 months old. The diet consists mainly of grains, silage, and hay, which ensures that the meat becomes beautifully marbled, with fat threads developing between the muscles. This results in extra tender and flavorful meat that is suitable for various preparations.
