The black pollock is a haddock-like fish that belongs to the cod family and is found in both the eastern and western parts of the northern Atlantic Ocean. The fish can grow up to 135 centimeters long and weigh up to 30 kilos. The black pollock has beautiful white, firm flesh with a coarse texture. It is particularly suitable for preparations in hot oil or in a batter.
