A Canner is a small Canadian lobster that weighs between 300 and 380 grams. The name Canner comes from 'can'. In the past, these small lobsters could not be transported alive because they were too weak. They were cooked and peeled, after which the meat was canned and transported frozen. The lobsters are caught in the Atlantic waters near Canada using traps. This method does not harm nature. The control on size and weight is very strict.
