An oyster is generally not a summer product. Yet, summer oysters are offered. What is the difference from normal oysters? Normally, an oyster reproduces in the summer. The quality of the oyster then deteriorates and not everyone can appreciate the taste. Summer oysters are specially cultivated for the summer. They are neutral and therefore cannot reproduce. This way, the oyster retains its good quality and soft, creamy taste.
Tip: Also delicious on the barbecue. Place the oysters with the rounded side on the grill of the Kamado barbecue. Close the lid and cook the oysters in about 3 minutes. Remove them from the grill and open them.
