The Aberfeldy distillery was founded in 1898 and is one of the last distilleries in Perthshire. The Aberfeldy distillery draws its water from the Pitilie Burn, which is locally praised for the purity of its water and its abundant gold and mineral deposits. That unique water combined with Scottish malted barley creates a wonderfully powerful dram that is still easy to drink.
Aberfeldy is known for its honey-sweet note, obtained through the long fermentation process that allows for further flavor development. The drink is then distilled in copper stills that were handmade over a century ago by the same family. Perfection is achieved with maturation in oak casks.
