Raki is a beautiful drink, originally from the Anatolian peninsula, made by distilling alcohol obtained by fermenting grapes, along with aniseed. Raki is never served alone, but with mezze, friends, and family. It is not a drink that is consumed quickly, but one that takes time. Relax, enjoy, in other words: unwind. For the traditional serving, first pour 6 cl of raki into a raki glass, then add 6 cl of water and top with ice cubes. Cold or with ice is key!
Made from 100% fresh Turkish grapes. Very smooth and balanced with notes of citrus fruits and spices and a rich, lightly spiced finish of aniseed and dried fruit. Pairs very well with cold and spicy mezzes, such as baba ganoush.
