It all started with a plot, and we know the importance of these plots in Burgundy. With the acquisition of Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Ursules, the history of Maison Louis Jadot began in 1826. The first stone of Maison Louis Jadot was laid in 1859, and thirty years later Louis Henri Denis Jadot was ready to contribute to the reputation of Burgundy wines and the wine trade to Northern Europe was further developed. A continental climate (very cold in winter, hot in summer, and frost in spring) combined with marl soils forges the unique character of Chablis wines. Approximately 3,500 hectares (of which 856 hectares are Premiers and Grands Crus) are 100% planted with Chardonnay. Chablis Premiers Crus are produced in 40 different places. Vinification and aging take place in stainless steel vats to preserve fruit and freshness. The Beaujolais vineyard is located in the southern part of Burgundy on the slopes of the Mont de Brouilly, between Villefranche sur Saône and Mâcon. Brouilly is one of the 10 crus of the Beaujolais and the total area of this appellation represents 1300 hectares. Fresh aromas of red berries, peach, and plum with earthy tones and hints of mineral. Full and elegant wine, silky smooth and good texture.
