Heidsieck & co Monopole was founded just before the French Revolution in 1785 by Florens-Louis Heidsieck and is the original Heidsieck house and the fourth oldest champagne house. It received royal orders from the King of Prussia, the Emperor of Germany (1818), the British crown (1911), the Swedish crown, King Gustav (1933), and Tsar Nicholas II. In 1998, a Swedish submarine expedition in the Baltic Sea found the wreck of the Jönköping (a ship that was sunk by a German submarine in 1916, containing 3,000 bottles of Heidsieck vintage 1907, ordered by the imperial army in St. Petersburg): the 2,400 bottles found 82 years later were well preserved and the wine was excellent! The Heidsieck & Co House reflects the richness of traditional savoir-faire, a legacy of a long history of Champagne, written alongside ours, throughout the centuries. Our cuvées still evoke their time and combine the modern world and traditional know-how with the same passion. Straw yellow - golden color with light coppery accents and delicate bubbles. Intense, generous, and complex nose with woody, dry fruit (dried apricot). Full, revealing flavors of candied fruit. Ideal as a gift, perfect as an aperitif and as an accompaniment to white meat.
