Viognier is a grape variety that was almost extinct: somewhere in the mid-eighties of the twentieth century, there were still 28 hectares worldwide, most of which were in the appellations Condrieu and Château Grillet. Now Viognier is planted and appreciated worldwide, also in the south of France. The color is golden yellow, the aroma is complex and layered: a new aspect emerges each time. Notes of dried fruit, violets, and acacia honey vie for attention. On the palate, it is rich and velvety, beautifully fresh. The finish is long, with notes of toasted bread.
