The Northern region of Alto Adige has developed over the centuries as an area where wine, culture, and art are inextricably linked. In addition, sustainability is high on the agenda. The Peter Zemmer winery fully meets its energy needs with sustainable energy. 70% of this Lagrein ages for several months in large oak barrels, the remaining 30% is aged in two and three-year-old Barrique barrels, followed by several months of bottle aging. The color is ruby to dark garnet red and on the nose, it has intensive, complex, spicy aromas, forest fruits, and violets. On the palate, the wine is balanced with beautiful tannins, soft, juicy, and round with a lightly spicy finish. The wine pairs with red meats, game, and hard cheeses.
