This wine combines a robust character from its tannin structure, balanced by refreshing acidity and ripe fruit. The complex bouquet of blackberry, cherry, and violet is followed by notes of vanilla, tobacco, and dark chocolate. The tannins are present but ripe, resulting in a velvety palate with a long finish of red and black fruit.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a temperature between 20 and 25°C. The wine matures for 16 months: 50% in used barriques and the remaining 50% in large 85 hl casks. It then ages for an additional 10 months in bottle before release.
