The Chilean vineyards experienced a cool start to the season, which delayed shoot growth. This resulted in a long growing season for this harvest, with picking beginning a few weeks later than usual. Warmer weather in February and March with sunny days led to concentrated red wines with attractive varietal character. However, dry conditions reduced yields, resulting in lower quantity but high-quality grapes. The grapes are 100% hand-harvested, carefully destemmed, crushed, and transferred to fermentation tanks. Fermentation lasted 10 days at temperatures between 26 and 28°C. The wine is then placed in oak barrels, where spontaneous malolactic fermentation occurs. After 18 months of maturation in French oak barrels, the final blend is clarified and bottled without filtration. This blend has an intense, deep red color and is robust and full-bodied with rich, firm tannins. The winemakers have combined delightful aromas of blackberry and spices with mocha and vanilla. Elegant and complex on the palate, with a long and pleasant finish. A beautifully balanced blend, produced from our best vineyards and crafted with the meticulous care of the winemakers.
Perfectly paired with lamb, duck, fine meats, and oily fish, grilled or stewed.
The wine consists of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 10% Syrah, 5% Petite Sirah, 3% Petit Verdot.
