Fonseca White is a blend of white wines, mainly from the upper slopes of the Douro Valley. The grape varieties used are arinto, malvasia fina, codega, esgana cão, folgasão, gouveio, and rabigato. The individual wines are aged for about three years in oak barrels, giving them a soft character. After blending, a rich white port is created in a traditional soft, full style. Aromatic nose of soft fruit, honey, and oak. Velvety, full taste with a long finish. This white port is traditionally drunk chilled as an aperitif or in combination with tonic and fresh mint.
