Fonseca was one of the pioneers of organic viticulture in the Douro Valley. In 2002, it became possible for the first time to produce a Port that is entirely made from grapes sourced from certified organic viticulture. Terra Prima Reserve is an elegant blend of Reserves with fresh, lively fruit, in which the organic viticulture has fully allowed the traditional port grape varieties to express themselves. A wonderfully rich, concentrated port with a great taste and texture. It has a lush nose of black fruit followed on the palate by layers of intense berry, plum, and cherry fruit aromas supported by firm but well-integrated tannins. This is a beautifully structured port wine, which is velvety, smooth, juicy, and plump. The perfect complement for delicious chocolate truffles after dinner or with a chocolate and blueberry fondant.
