Ingredients

Amarena cherries
Hard Viennese dough
Cinnamon powder

Preparation

  1. Drain the cherries in a sieve and collect the syrup.
  2. Pat the cherries dry.
  3. Let the Viennese dough thaw.
  4. Knead a little cinnamon powder into the dough to taste.
  5. Roll out the dough and cut small slices from it.
  6. Place an Amarena cherry inside.
  7. Fold the dough around the Amarena cherry and roll into a ball.
  8. Bake in the oven at 180°C for about 10 minutes.
  9. Whip the cream until soft peaks with some of the leftover syrup. Serve this with the cookies.
