Puff pastry sticks with apple

Enjoy these crispy vegan puff pastry sticks, made with fresh puff pastry from Tante Fanny, oat flakes, and apple.They are 100% vegan and therefore suitable for everyone, perfect for breakfast or brunch!

Ingredients

2Oat milk
2Lemon juice
30gOat flakes
1Medium-sized apple
50gCranberries
50gVanilla sugar
1Tante Fanny puff pastry roll

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C top/bottom heat and prepare the dough according to the instructions on the package.
  2. Grate the apple and coarsely chop the cranberries (or raisins).
  3. Mix the grated apple with lemon juice, vanilla sugar, and cranberries.
  4. Roll out the dough with the included baking paper directly onto a baking tray and spread the filling over half the width of the puff pastry.
  5. Fold the dough from the middle over the filling, like a book.
  6. Brush the top with oat milk, sprinkle with oat flakes, and press down well.
  7. Cut the dough with a pizza cutter or knife into 10 equal strips and halve them, so you get 20 sticks.
  8. Twist each stick and spread them out on the baking tray.
  9. Bake the sticks in the middle of the oven for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Optionally, sprinkle with powdered sugar after baking.
