Crispy chicken toastie

Combine luxurious flavors and turn a simple toastie into a surprising lunch dish.

Ingredients

Cumin
Sauerkraut
Savora mustard
Brown soft sugar
slices of young matured cheese
white sourdough floor bread
breaded chicken tenders
Butter

Preparation

  1. Slice the bread.
  2. Rinse the sauerkraut in plenty of water.
  3. Melt some butter with a little brown sugar and cumin to taste.
  4. When the sugar has dissolved, add the squeezed sauerkraut and stew well.
  5. Spread two slices of bread with Savora mustard.
  6. Top one slice with the sautéed sauerkraut.
  7. Fry the chicken tenders until crispy (use two per toastie) and place them on the sauerkraut.
  8. Add a slice of cheese, place the second slice of bread on top, and toast in a sandwich press until crispy and warm.
