
Flammkuchen toastie caprese
Flammkuchen in the contact grill turns into a flammkuchen toastie. The toastie has a delicious filling of pesto, mozzarella, and tomatoes.Ingredients
Olive oil
1Mozzarella ball
Green pesto
1Tante Fanny flammkuchen dough roll
1Tomato
Preparation
- Use the dough straight from the refrigerator.
- Roll out the dough with the attached baking paper directly onto the baking tray and cut it in half widthwise.
- Spread the center of each piece of dough with pesto, leaving a border of about 5 cm all around.
- Slice the tomato and mozzarella.
- Place the tomato and mozzarella on top and fold the dough together like a book.
- Press the edges firmly together.
- Heat a contact grill or grill pan and brush with a little oil.
- Grill the toasties on both sides at a high temperature until golden brown. Cooking time in the contact grill is about 8-10 minutes, in the pan about 6-8 minutes per side (total: 12-16 minutes).
