Pizza Pepperoni Phinwheels
These savory pizza ‘pinwheels’ combine the classic flavors of mozzarella, spicy pepperoni, and Parmesan cheese.Ingredients
Pizza dough
Fresh Parmesan cheese
Pizza sauce
Beaten eggs
Pepperoni
Semola
Grated mozzarella
basil oil
Preparation
- Let the pizza dough thaw in a sealed container in the fridge (preferably for at least 2 days).
- Roll out the dough thinly in semola so it doesn't stick, and try to roll it into an oval to rectangular sheet.
- Spread with the pizza sauce.
- Sprinkle grated mozzarella over it and grate some Parmesan cheese on top.
- Distribute the pepperoni over everything.
- Roll the dough tightly from the middle.
- Cut into small pieces.
- Spread out on a baking tray.
- Brush the top with the beaten egg.
- Bake at 180°C until brown and cooked through.
- When they come out of the oven, drizzle lightly with basil oil and serve.
