
Hasselback pumpkin with bay leaf

grated zest of 1 orange
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Peel the pumpkins, cut them in half lengthwise, and remove the seeds.
- Place the pumpkin halves on a baking tray and bake them in the oven for 20 minutes.
- Then cut the pumpkin halves every half centimeter. Tear the bay leaves and insert them into the cuts.
- Add two pieces of star anise to each pumpkin half.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan and mix in the honey.
- Brush the pumpkins with the butter mixture.
- Bake the pumpkins for 10 minutes in the oven, then brush them again with the butter mixture. Repeat this three times (total oven time: 30 minutes).
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Sprinkle with the orange zest.
