Tagliatelle with plant-based meatballs and tomato sauce

A delicious, classic pasta dish in a plant-based version. The vegan meatballs provide a wonderful bite and are also nice and nutritious.

This recipe is for approximately 2 people.

Ingredients

180gvegan meatballs
200gtagliatelle
500gDiced tomatoes
2units.itemsShallots
20gchopped parsley
vegetable oil or plant-based butter
Pepper
Salt
Fresh basil
Valderrama olive oil

Preparation

  1. Heat butter or oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the vegan meatballs and cook them through in about 10 minutes.
  3. Finely chop the shallots.
  4. Remove the meatballs from the pan and add the shallots. Sauté them gently.
  5. Spoon the diced tomatoes onto the shallots and bring everything to a boil.
  6. Puree the tomato sauce with a hand blender and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Put the vegan meatballs in the tomato sauce and heat over low heat for 5 to 10 minutes.
  8. Cook the tagliatelle according to the packaging.
  9. Serve the tagliatelle and vegan meatballs with tomato sauce on a plate.
  10. Finely chop some fresh basil and sprinkle over the dish.
  11. Finally, drizzle some Valderrama olive oil over the dish.
