Onion rings filled with mozzarella

Onion rings are always good, but the mozzarella makes them extra creamy.

Ingredients

Spanish onions
mozzarella (stick)
1Egg
nacho cheese tortilla chips
Panko

Preparation

  1. Clean the onions and cut them into thick slices.
  2. Carefully press the rings out of the onion.
  3. Cut the mozzarella (stick) into slices and then into strips.
  4. Take one ring, place a second ring inside it, leaving space between the two rings. Place the mozzarella in this space. Freeze.
  5. Beat the egg with a little salt.
  6. Grind the panko in the food processor. Tip: replace the panko with nacho cheese tortilla chips.
  7. Dip the frozen onion in the egg, coat well in the panko, and fry until crispy.
