Onion rings with quinoa

Serve with a suitable dipping sauce.

Ingredients

Garlic powder
Tempura flour
tandoori spices
Spanish onions
Panko
Puffed quinoa

Preparation

  1. Clean the onions and slice them. Press the rings out of the slices.
  2. Season tempura flour with a bit of tandoori spices.
  3. Mix the batter with water until it has the thickness of yogurt.
  4. Pulse the panko in a food processor until powdered, then mix with garlic powder and puffed quinoa.
  5. Dip the onions first in the tempura batter, then in the panko and quinoa mixture, and fry until crispy.
