Ultimate breakfast treat

A toasted sandwich with egg, bacon, and lemon juice.

Ingredients

0.5slice of crispy bacon
a little
stainless steel (baking) ring - tall model
1Egg

Preparation

  1. Separate the egg white from the yolk (keep the yolk whole). Whisk the egg white by hand to a 'soft' peak (add a drop of lemon juice to prevent separation).
  2. Grease the stainless steel ring with oil. Spoon in the egg white and spread along the sides, leaving a hole in the center.
  3. Cut the bacon into thin strips and press into the egg white around the hole. , Now fill the cavity with the whole yolk and top up with more egg white (not too full, it will soufflé).
  4. Cook the filled ring on both sides in a pan with butter or oil, or place in an oven at 200°C.
  5. Loosen the sides with a palette knife and carefully turn out onto a toasted bun.
