Cachaça 51 a distillate from the pure juice of sugarcane. In Brazil, it is the national drink and therefore also the most consumed spirit. Worldwide, Cachaça is the fourth most consumed distilled drink after vodka, rum, and soju. Cachaça is also compared to rum. But the important difference is that for rum a distillate of molasses from sugarcane (a byproduct) is used, while for Cachaça the pure juice of sugarcane is distilled.
