Cremaet coffee

We also call it the Spanish Irish coffee, originating from Valencia, the city of oranges. This version may not be 100% authentic, but it is irresistibly delicious with, among other things, the warm flavors of cinnamon.

Warm spices, they not only give flavor and aroma to your creations, but also add depth. You could call them the heart of the kitchen. In the winter months, and especially in December, we also seek warmth in our dishes and reach for our spice drawer, and they return in our recipes.

Ingredients

2Cinnamon sticks
250mlCachaça
0.5Lemon peel
6Chocolate coffee beans
60gSugar
0.5Orange peel

Preparation

  1. Heat the ingredients. Tip: use the milk frother of the coffee machine for this.
  2. Briefly flambé the mixture (skip this step if you prefer a stronger flavor).
  3. Pour a small layer of the warm drink into heatproof glasses.
  4. Pour a strong espresso on top.
  5. Spoon a dollop of thick cinnamon cream on top.
  6. Serve with a spoon and some chocolate-covered coffee beans so the guest can stir them into the coffee themselves.
