Clafoutis with amarena cherries and chocolate ice cream

This clafoutis is ideal for sharing.

This holiday season, 'sharing' is central. Eating together is simply the most fun. During Christmas dinner, a dessert in the middle of the table is perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

700mlMilk
300gFlour
140gCane sugar
400gAmarena cherries
2Vanilla pods
8Eggs
Mascarpone cream
Chocolate ice cream
butter for greasing

Preparation

  1. Halve the vanilla pod lengthwise, scrape out the seeds, and put them in a saucepan with the milk. Heat to about 40°C and let infuse briefly.
  2. Mix the sugar, flour, and eggs.
  3. Remove the vanilla pod from the milk and pour the milk over the sugar mixture.
  4. Grease a dish with butter and pour the clafoutis mixture into the dish.
  5. Distribute the amarena cherries over the mixture in the dish.
  6. Bake the clafoutis in the oven at 180°C for about 1 hour.
  7. Serve with chocolate ice cream and whipped cream with mascarpone.
