Panettone ‘Christmas tree’

This panettone 'Christmas tree' is a festive masterpiece of airy panettone, built up like a Christmas tree, perfect for Christmas enjoyment or as a surprise.

Recipe for approximately 6 to 8 people.

Ingredients

50gamaretto cherry syrup
various Christmas chocolate decorations
50glime curd
panettone pandoro
vanilla ice cream
500gMascarpone cream

Preparation

  1. Whip half of the mascarpone cream with the lime curd until smooth.
  2. Whip the other half with the amaretto syrup until smooth.
  3. Slice the panettone and cut a round from each slice (tip: save these for coffee).
  4. Spread each slice with the lime curd cream and stack them into a Christmas tree shape.
  5. Put the whipped mascarpone cream with amaretto syrup into a piping bag with a nozzle.
  6. Slice the panettone.

  9. Stack them into a Christmas tree shape.
  10. Prepare all the decorations.
  11. Fill the hollows of the panettone with vanilla ice cream.
  12. Pipe the mascarpone cream onto the panettone.
  13. Garnish with the chocolate decorations and serve with a lit candle on the table.
