Onion soup with kimchi and gyoza

A unique twist on the classic onion soup, enriched with spicy kimchi for an Asian flair and served with delicate gyoza.The kimchi adds a spicy and fermented element, while the gyoza provides a surprising bite. Perfect as an original starter.

1gWhite pepper
475gWhite onions (in half rings)
3gLovage (finely chopped)
5gKnorr Professional Curry Purée
2gKnorr Professional Garlic Purée
12gKnorr Professional Ginger Puree
40gKnorr Professional Authentic Beef Bouillon

Preparation

  1. Sweat the sliced onion in some oil without coloring.
  2. Add the pepper, thyme, lovage, garlic, curry, ginger, kimchi, and chili flakes.
  3. Add two liters of water, bring to a boil, and while stirring, add the weighed bouillon powder.
  4. Let the soup simmer gently for 10 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare the gyoza.
  6. Divide the gyoza among the bowls and ladle the soup over them.
  7. Optionally serve some chili oil with the soup.
