Ingredients

200mlGame stock
800gstewed venison (or hare or roe deer)

Preparation

  1. Finely chop the onion, press the garlic, and dice the carrot and celery.
  2. Melt the butter in a casserole.
  3. Sauté the onion, carrot, celery, and garlic for about 3 minutes.
  4. Add the stewing meat and brown it on all sides.
  5. Pour the Brand Dubbelbock along the edge of the pan.
  6. Cut the ontbijtkoek into cubes.
  7. Add the game stock, sage, and ontbijtkoek, and bring to a boil.
  8. Lower the heat and gently braise the meat for about 2-3 hours until tender.
